Islamabad: In connection with the relief of Rs 14 per unit of electricity, the Punjab government has decided to advance payment to 5 electricity distribution companies.

According to the details, the Punjab government has asked the DISCOS for an estimate of Rs 14 per unit for the relief.

The provincial government wrote separate letters to 5 discos that supply electricity to Punjab, letters were written to Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan and Gujranwala electric companies

Targeted relief of 14 rupees per unit will be applied to 201 to 500 units per month, relief in electricity tariff will be applied in bills of August and September 2024, including taxes and duties Punjab government will give relief of 14 rupees per unit of electricity
