Movie Venom: The Last Dance (Venom 3 Movie) is an upcoming American superhero film based on Marvel Comics‘ Venom character. It serves as a sequel to “Venom Movie” (2018) and “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” (2021), and is the fifth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU). The film is directed and written by Kelly Marcel, marking her directorial debut. Tom Hardy reprises his role as Eddie Brock, who coexists with the alien symbiote Venom, alongside new cast members such as Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, and Rhys Ifans. The plot follows Brock and Venom as they are pursued by enemies from both of their worlds.
Hardy confirmed his involvement in a third Venom film in August 2018. Sony began development in December 2021, with Hardy and Marcel working on the script by mid-2022. Filming began in Spain in June 2023 but was interrupted by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, resuming in November and concluding by February 2024. The film’s title was revealed in March 2024, and the Venom 3 Movie release is scheduled for October 25, 2024, in the U.S.
